We purchased the Vreta Sofa and needed Home Delivery. At the Home Delivery counter we were asked if we need assembly and I kept asking is there a need for assembly for sofa? What is there to assemble? Then after checking the Counter Attendee said there is no assembly.

Today, 1st September the sofa was delivered to our home, my sister and brother in law (2 seniors) were there to receive it. The delivery staff again told my sister that the sofa "legs" must be assembled and that many people do not know how to assemble!! The worst part is they needed to pay the deliver staff RM50.OO for assembly. However after they have opened the wrapping my sister realized that it was simply screwing of the legs.

My sister & brother in law felt cheated because the "staff" frightened by saying many people do not know how to assemble the legs and have to pay extra for getting the Ikea staff to come back.

I believe all Ikea products are easily DIY products. But how come the staff frighten the seniors to just earn a few extra ringgit. I dont believe the RM50.00 is returned to IKEA.

I thought Ikea is professional company, how is it there are still such staff? All in all we feel very disappointed with the home delivery service we received.
