Check-in counters/machines
Hey tysan, currently there are no check-in counters/kiosks in KL Sentral. The kiosks are in the following locations (airports):
1. LCCT-Kuala Lumpur
2. Alor Setar
3. Johor Bahru
4. Bintulu
5. Kota Bharu
6. Kuching
7. Labuan
8. Langkawi
9. Miri
10.Penang
11.Sibu
12.Sandakan
13.Kuala Terengganu & Tawau
Alternatively, you may use the Web-Check in or the Mobile check-in versions. Thank you! :-)

e-Gift Voucher
Hi. What should I do if I did not received any reply from Air Asia after I redeemed (via online) the e-Gift Voucher that I received via online also?
By right there should be a reply to my email for verification.

Hi Rin,

The EGV (E-Gift Voucher) is normally redeemed at the purchasing end of your ticket.

If you have already redeemed the EGV, then it should be reflected on your itinerary.

If you have not received the itinerary via your e-mail, this could be caused by a full inbox. If that is not the case, try checking the spam/junk folder.

If you are still unable to find the itinerary, then visit www.airasia.com, login to your account and select from the menu on the left: My Flights > Manage Booking

If all fails, kindly fill up the form at the link given below:
http://www.airasia.com/my/en/faqdetailsform.html
so that an officer can assist you or try using the live chat in the website.

un-used ticket from KUL to TGG, from TGG to KUL on JAN'2011
Hi, I have booked 4 pcs Air Asia tickets, now I can't go to travel at there on Jan 2011. Can i possible to get the airport tax & CONA convenienc fee back on un-used tickets? If change date, how much need charges? airticket need pay again? or any advise? what should be i do? thanks

Hi ling,

If you would like a refund for the 4 tickets which would be pretty sad, Airasia normally returns the airport tax back but that is all. To do this you will have to e-mail AirportTaxRefund@airasia.com with all your flight details.

The other option would be to travel on another day and pay RM90 "Change Fee" to change the ticket dates. In addition to that, you will also have to pay the difference between the fare you purchased the 4 tickets and the new fare. If the new fare is cheaper, no extra fare charges would apply.

Another option you would have is to change the names/passengers flying - this is also subject to a fee.

Probably the best option would be to fly on those dates :-p otherwise apply for the airport tax refund which is quite a small amount to be honest.

Hi, ling again, i'm e-mail to AirporttaxRefund@airasia.com , and sent letter to KL sentral counter by hand to get back tax money. but the counter ppl not want chop aknowledge back to me, e-mail also not reply, how i know when will give back airport tax to me (how many day). the money will bank in to me or return by cash.

Dear Teresa,

Not to worry, if you are a registered member in Airasia.com or made the booking as a registered member, then just login and on the left hand-side menu click on My Flights > Manage my Booking and click Manage Booking to view your ticket and print.

If you are not a member, do not worry. Follow the same steps as above and enter the information that is required in the page to view and print your ticket.

Hi there..
I wouldlike to ask. I purchased 2 tix to Phuket on during the 0 fare. I can't make it now on those dates but would like to go on a different date.I understand that if I make changes I would have to pay the difference in price of the ticket.Do I still need to pay for the airport taxes and my luggages or just the price of the tickets??

Dear Karen,

Thank you for your enquiry. You only have to pay the difference in the price of the tickets + the insurance (if you paid for one). All others remain the same. Also, if you are paying by credit card, the service fee applies as usual. You can do all of this by logging into your account at airasia.com and modifying the details. :-)

Dear Yaw Hog,

You will not be able to amend your birth date through the website - but you can contact the Airasia call centre and have them amend it for you.

Most of the times, there are no charges - but depending on the situation, they may charge a small changing fee. :-)

From experience, date of birth is normally not an issue, but just to stay safe, please do contact the call centre and make the amendments. :-)

It is unfortunate that you would have to cancel your trip - as Airasia has a strict policy on refunds. :-(

Your booking will not be refunded, however only the airport tax will be refunded to you depending on your departure and arrival location.

However, you can still transfer your ticket to a third party person or even change your ticket dates if your booking is still valid. :-)

Do not worry.

If you have a registered account in Airasia.com, you can easily retrieve the booking by logging in and going to Manage Bookings.

Otherwise, if you do not have a registered account but you remember your booking number, you can still view your ticket by filling up the form at: http://booking2.airasia.com/RetrieveBooking.aspx?redirect=1&sso=1

Now if both above does not apply, then you will have to contact Airasia through their call-centre at 03 2171 9333 or 600 85 9999 or fill up the following form: http://www.airasia.com/my/en/faqdetailsform.html

Due to the recent catastrophe that happened int Japan,i read through the news that those travelling up till April 15th will be refunded. How about my trip which will be in May?Do i at least get a partial refund?

Please take note that Airasia will only allow passengers who have planned to fly from March 11 to April 11 to postpone their trip without any extra charge.

As for refunds, this will be on a case by case basis only.

Hi Ila,

You may travel along with your infant, provided your infant is in between 9 days and lesser than 24 months of age.

An infant fee will be charged accordingly and you would have to enter the number of infants you are traveling with while booking.

Since booking has already been made, please contact the call centre and request for your infant to be added in the passenger list.
